The circle of the zodiac is divided into twelve sections, which are called the houses of the planets, the zones, or simply the zodiacal signs. The northernmost signs and the ones near to us have been assigned to the lights, the moon mling the sign of Cancer, and the sun mling Leo. The next closest signs of Gemini and Virgo have been given to Mercury, while Taums and Libra are connected with Venus. Mars is said to mle Aries and Scorpio, and Jupiter is the mler of Sagittarius and Pisces. Lastly, the farthest signs of Capricorn and Aquarius have been given to Saturn.
